Did I speak the truth in love?

I am working on trying to speak the truth in love, and perhaps some of my past letters have been more truthful than loving, so I continue to progress. My critics as expected will criticize everything I say so I am not seeking their opinion, but those of the neutral on this board for your voice is valuable.

This letter is to a progressive pastor in my area.

Dear xxxx;

You speak of love in your bio on your website but do you know what God’s love is? Love entails telling someone the entire truth and calling people to repentance and faith in Christ (Lk 13:3, Jn 3:16). If what I say is Biblical why are you not calling LGBT people to repent and turn from their sins, knowing that they will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor 6:9-11)? But instead you are welcoming them into your fellowship, and not calling them to turn from sin. This is like giving them deadly poison and calling it water.

Also those of other religious faiths and supposed paths to God how can you not say that Jesus is the only way, when the Bible is so clear about this essential truth (Jn 14:6, Ac 4:12)? The Lord Jesus said that we must “enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few” (Mt 7:13-14).

Friend if I have spoken falsely about your beliefs please feel free to correct me. But if not why ignore this letter? The question is are you a true or a false convert? I pray you will read the tract I enclosed “True Faith or False Hope”, get into the Bible and become a true convert.

Sincerely,

John

Personally, I see nothing wrong with the letter.

I see nothing wrong with the letter. The problem I see is that other churches are not really your concern. Your church is your concern.

Also those I write letters are apostate churches/false churches. I write up cults, progressive, and WOF, churches.

I do not bother with Arminian, most charismatic (except WOF), KJVO, nor debates over secondary issues of theology (eschatology, alcohol, tithing, church government, etc..).

again...it's NOT YOUR BUSINESS. Do you really think that some church is going to have a change of heart because of what some open air preacher writes to them?

One more time...get yourself under authority. Get yourself some accountability. The open air preachers on the 16th street mall are pretty much considered a bunch of jerks that need to go home and keep to themselves. I doubt seriously ANY pastor would approve of you writing letters to other pastors. However, since you seem to like not having any authority over you nor any accountability, then go your own way. Your ministry is NOT of God, it's of you. You will receive all the blessings you deserve on it.
