Did Jesus have faith?

Someone stated that Jesus is God, so, being omnipotent and omniscient, Jesus did not need to have faith.

I disagree.

Faith is a multifaceted concept centered on complete trust, confidence, or allegiance in someone, something, or a set of beliefs. It extends beyond mere intellectual agreement, requiring an active commitment or reliance—even in the absence of tangible, visible, measurable proof.

The human side of Jesus did exercise faith and trust in God the Father, just like the rest of us. If Jesus did not have to exercise faith, He did not participate fully in the human experience.

Jesus grew in stature with God and man. Thus, the human side of Jesus had to study, memorize, and meditate upon the scriptures.

Hebrews 5:8 states: "Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered."

This explains that while Jesus was the divine Son of God, He fully embraced the human experience, choosing to undergo the ultimate test of submitting to God’s will, even unto death on the cross. Jesus had to exercise faith to learn obedience.

In Gethsemane, Jesus asked God if the cup of God’s wrath could pass from Him. But Jesus concluded that God’s will be done, rather than Jesus’ own personal will. That takes faith in God’s will being the best.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Is this not the faith, the trust in God the Father, that Jesus manifested on earth, and now in heaven, still has?

IMO, a prime example of faith by The Son...

who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: 1 Pet 2:23

...but then again there's this:

Or thinkest thou that I cannot beseech my Father, and he shall even now send me more than twelve legions of angels? How then should the scriptures be fulfilled that thus it must be? Mt 26:53-54
