Did Jesus wear pants

He's a nut, clear and simple. I love how he decides that we're going to use a word in English to figure out what it is saying. Instead of reading the WHOLE context to see that the garment that he is speaking of DOES go under the clothing - and still covers the nakedness. I'm sorry but they didn't wear suits and ties in the Old Testament and we need to understand the clothing from the time to understand what it was talking about. Besides that, breeches were worn by only the priest. That's all. While Jesus is our Great High Priest, He was not a priest while he walked on the earth and I doubt He wore priestly garments either. So chances are, Jesus didn't wear breeches but instead wore the same clothing as everyone else - what we'd consider a "dress" today.

But Pastor Anderson loves to take verses out of context and build a whole sensational sermon on it. It's his specialty.

I have just spent the last hour of so watching some of his viedoes - from a critical point of view, and in laymans terms you hit it on the mark!

We must be careful who we let into our pulpits.

God bless you for giving you the patience to watch those!! I find them entirely too frustrating.

Jesus was 100% man as well as 100% God, so put on His toga one leg at a time.

And pee'd standing up (a famous Spamderson - nickname he earned over the years and has even "gloried" in - sermon showing how cultic and crazy he is).

Pastor Steve would have to re-word that question in the UK! People here would think he was talking about underwear!

UK version: "Did Jesus wear trousers?"

But whether we call them pants or trousers, the question is ridiculous!

I completely agree but is this completely possible?

One of the difficulties about guys like this nut job is that he was (likely) spurned from pulpits and positions because of his ridiculous and non-biblical views. So what does he do? He goes and opens a space in a strip mall and starts posting insane videos on youtube to attract a crowd.

While we should monitor our pulpits, what is to keep guys like this from doing what he's doing? Absolutely nothing.

Remember, I was a driving instructor - for young new drivers. (and I had my own brake)

Actually, his home church sent him there

I just don't know. Never checked under His gown!
Jim

Jim, it is my duty to inform you that the admins of BB have given you the taks of checking this out.

How could you do that and NOT drink a jug of Drano?

I am a US Army NCO!

(snip) David, keep in mind he is a KJO, so... (snip)
I'm probably missing an obvious joke here. (HOW unusual!!! ) I would have thought he might have favoured the NKJV; at least that translation includes the word "pants". Psalm 42.1:
As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.
The KJV has "panteth". :)
