So I'm now back to Judas not trusting. No faith. Faith is a gift.
I still have a problem with him participating in the miracles, if he didn't possess the faith he was telling others to have.
Hello BRO.C
This highlights the need for God to regenerate a sinner before they can believe on God's terms.
37
But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
One thing to keep in mind....Our Lord came meek and lowly. The unregenerate mistake meakness for weakness.... Judas was carnal in the heart.
I still have a problem with him participating in the miracles, if he didn't possess the faith he was telling others to have.
remember Simon sought to buy the gift in Acts...his heart was wrong
18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given,
he offered them money,
19 Saying,
Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God,
if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
