Nope, Obama won because people didn't want four years akin to the eight they had called "Hurricane Dubya".
And that 47% comment didn't help him either!

I doubt I can think of all the reasons, but here are a few I have thought about ...............
- Paying attention to only polls they paid for. They said they did look at the media's biased polls. This is a very dangerous attitude ... one I have noted some on the BB have.
- Waging war on women, hispanics and just about everyone except the rich.
- Believing the white vote would win it for them.
- The fear of many that Romney would be Bush lite.
- Misuse or not understanding the power available through technology in analyzing voters.
- Lack of a concerted voter registration.
- Ignoring young people. They don't vote you know.
- Romney never making it clear what he really believed ... flip-flopping.
- I do believe being Mormon cost him votes. I am not sure how many.
I know of a few people who wouldn't vote for either candidate. Obama for his Marxists views and Romney because he is Mormon. How many in our country felt the same? I heard today on Fox that many less voted in this election than in 2008, could it be that these several million voters really couldn't vote for a Mormon? What if Romney was Baptist or Methodist, would we be celebrating right now? I hear no media outlets positing this. What do you say?
This is an excellent list. Good job.
I would add that Romney did not have an effective ground game in swing states like Ohio and Florida. Just didn't have the volunteers to go door to door or make phone calls compared to Obama's campaign.
As to the OP: I think that Romney's Mormonism was a factor but I would put it low on the list, just as CTB has it.
There is nothing intrinsically irrational about "believing in" Jesus who lived 2000 years ago or "believing in" Mohammad who lived 1200 (?) years ago.
It is irrational to "believe in" Joseph Smith whose criminal record is only 150 years old or to "believe in" L. Ron Hubbard who invented Scientology on a dare made at a cocktail party 50 years ago. It is irrational to vote for a presidential candidate who "believes in" either of these recent liars. I would rather vote for a candidate who "believed in" The Great Pumpkin.
Okay, Poncho. You've got my attention. What does one do now?

One needs to be very careful what they say at a public event. Nowadays, with cellphones that catch any and everything said and done, no one is exempt from this. I think this exposed Romney for who he really is, one who supports big business, and not the ones who make the big businesses big.
Romney must have turned down the Bohemian Grove invite.
You're identifying problems. What does one do to remedy them?I dunno, stand on our heads and spit wooden nickels?
I'm okay with having your attention but what do you mean by "what does one do now?"
