St. Francis said: 'Preach the Gospel, if necessary use words.'
DHK simply does not understand what 'co-redemptrix' means. I believe that is what Westminsterman is referring to. DHK needs to understand also that the Church does not teach (never has and never will) that Mary as Co-redemptrix is equal to Christ. “Co” is from the Latin “cum,“ meaning “with”. “Trix” is a feminine suffix, so the word means “the woman with the redeemer”---the woman with the One (Jesus) doing the act of redemption.
co-operate
co-conspiracy
Co--working together with and equally involved.
A co-conspirator in a murder will get the death penalty or life imprison, just like the guilty conspirator. Neither one will go free. They both "conspired" together. They were "co-conspirators" working together on the same plan for the same evil purpose.
The RCC has Mary as a co-Redemptrix, Mary working with Jesus for the redemption of mankind. She is as much needed in the plan of redemption as is Jesus. Catholics pray to her for their redemption. Pray the words of the "Hail Mary." It is blasphemous and idolatrous. It is worship that is due only to God. "Hail Mary full of grace pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, Amen." What heresy. Mary cannot pray for you; redeem you; do anything for you at the hour of your death at all. If your life is not right with God you will go to the Lake of Fire no matter how many times you pray to Mary. She is dead. She cannot help you. Only Christ has risen from the dead. Praying to the dead is necromancy. You can go to the land of Israel and ask the guides, and they will point you to the place of Mary's tomb. There you can pray to Mary. But that would be foolish wouldn't it? Just as foolish as what you do now!!
Eve participated in the fall by her consent and pride. Mary, though cooperated with the redemption of man by her consent and humility as handmaid of the Lord. She gave Jesus his body, and his body is what saved us.
Adam and Eve both sinned.
Adam and Eve both came under a curse.
The entire world both came under a curse because of their sin.
Their sin brought terrible consequences.
Mary played no role in the plan of redemption. Jesus alone came from the glories of heaven (not Mary). Jesus alone lived among men as God, was reviled as a man, and crucified to take away our sin. He was the sinless Son of God (not Mary). He bore the penalty of the sin of the world upon him (not Mary). In John 19:30, he cried out "It is finished," meaning the work of salvation is finished. It is accomplished, and was accomplished by Him alone (not Mary). Three days later he arose from the dead (not Mary). Mary is still in the grave rotting away.
Mary is a sinner. God used her vile wicked body to bring Jesus into this world. She was a sinner just like everyone else in this world. But God chose her to be a vessel to bring Christ into this world. That did not change Mary's sin nature. God over-ruled that by the virgin birth, for the sin nature comes from man. Mary did not escape the sin nature. Mary offered a sin offering when Jesus was circumcised, in admission that she was a sinner.
In no way did Mary ever cooperate with Christ in the redemption of mankind. To suggest so, is heresy.
