Differentiating being born-again from the Holy Spirit baptism

Let's see. Browner says there are two baptisms. Water baptism and Spirit baptism.
Sorry, but the NT teaches at least 4 baptisms:
- into the church by the Holy Spirit
- by full immersion in water by man
- into the Holy Spirit by Jesus Himself
- by fire by Jesus Himself

If I send you an NT, you might also read of NT "baptisms" in Hebrews.

Yes, I agree ... you are hilarious!

You have failed in the reconciling thread you began
and now you are failing in this one.
Everyone, please understand that no one can
believe spiritual Truth without spiritual revelation.
And believers cannot accept new spiritual Truth
who are NOT open.
In both cases, revelation must come from the H.S.
otherwise a person continues to reside in unbelief.

Satan >>> false doctrines >>> church leaders deceived
... is NO problem at all for Satan ...
for he is "the god/ruler of this world/age"!

The only people who are more deceived and
bigger spiritual idiots are the unbelieving majority.

The next and soon up-coming proof of this is
the false pre-tribulation rapture doctrine!

MANY so-called believers will be devastated
at the terrible persecution of Christians ...
and will fall away from the faith unto perdition.
Of course, this persecution is already happening
elsewhere ... it hasn't quite begun yet in the West.

There is no "new" spiritual truth given to special individuals. The cannon of scripture has been closed with the NT and is freely given to all Christians for their understanding. What Christians are called to do is "rightly divide the truth", not get "special" revelations of what has been written. This is why you have trouble reconciling the scriptures and run from challenges shouting "special revelation, special revelation".

You are right about satan and false doctrines. So here is a question for you; How do we know a doctrine is false or true? Simple answer, we go to what has been written. When I went to what has been written, I found your "special revelation" falling way short. Just as Ellen White and Joseph Smith's "special revelations" are not reconciled with what has been written. Remember, they were as passionate as you are about what they "thought" they had received by "special revelation". But they did not go to the scriptures to make sure what they "heard" was actually from God.

ADDITIONAL spiritual understanding of what has been written
is what I'm talking about.
News Flash ... God actually talks to people !!!

Those who have been given the baptism with the Holy Spirit
have way more of this than dost thou.
Note: ALL of the NT church leaders had this!
T'was required, for example, to be used in miracles, etc.

All of this is way over your head.
That's why I encourage people to get the baptism.

God has not talked to you.
You do not have a special baptism.

The old Pentecostal line was to "tarry at the altar"
praying for it ... until Jesus gives it to you.
Step #1 ... believe in it (be not filled with unbelief in God's word)
Step #2 ... do not believe in false church doctrines,
which insist that it and the 9 spiritual power gifts have ceased.
Step #3 ... ask, seek, knock (Matthew 7),
and don't forget about the persistent widow.
I wish you all the best.

I have learned concerning being healed by God ...
those who are desperate stand the best chance!
Normally, there are 2 absolute pre-requisites for being healed:
1) repent of ANY and ALL involvement with the occult (PPandF)
2) repent of ANY and ALL unforgiveness (PPandF)
Not much chance at all of being healed
without sincere repentance of these!

That is saying one must accept something is true before one seeks and test the truth of it. Joseph Smith wrote in his book of Mormon that if one seeks the truth of his book one will find his book is true (something to that effect).

I see your problem.
Goest and talkest thou to several Pentecostals about these things!
Maybe thou willst be convinced that whatest I have been saying is true!
Instead of remaining in total ignorance, that is!

And with that answer you once again display your inability to defend a position. Joseph Smith said something similar, ask God if it is true, you say ask the Pentecostals if it true. I think you see "your" problem and thus you deflect as usual.

The NT teaches (very tactfully) the difference between
being baptized by the Holy Spirit into Jesus' church body
and
being given the baptism with the Holy Spirit by Jesus Himself.

Because of being deceived, lied to, etc. by Satan through churches,
born-again believers can easily be duped into not believing
the above spiritual Truth ... even to the point of not being
open enough to question fellow believers about such things!
'Tis a deplorable situation to miss out on all the Lord has to offer.

Yes, I understand that most believers prefer to continue
believing the false doctrines taught in their churches
instead of forging ahead and having spiritual Truth
revealed to them.
I get it ... it's easier and more convenient that way,
and also ... ignorance is bliss.

Be very careful with your insinuations.

Yes, I agree ... you are hilarious!
And if I were you I would avoid name calling. There is a significant difference between saying what you posted is hilarious, and calling me hilarious. I highly recommend you learn the difference.

As to the "baptisms" in Hebrews 6:2, it is common knowledge that the author of Hebrews was referring to the Jews who made much of various kinds of “washings,” which were called “baptisms” when translated into Greek. If Hebrew ceremonial "washings" count as "baptisms" do we also count washing our hands, washing our dinnerware and washing our clothes as "baptisms?" :)

Thanks for the advice.
Do you believe there are more than one baptism
(concerning true believers) taught in the NT?

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism.
He probably was talking about ...
the one baptism unto salvation described in 1 Cor 12:12-14?).
There very obviously are several other baptisms mentioned
in the NT, which are not to be ignored.

I'll send you an NT, and you can read about the other baptisms.

Note:
Your seminary time was a colossal waste of time;
no ... t'was a hindrance!
Be very careful what you say. To insinuate I don't own a bible and never read the bible is a personal attack and will not be tolerated on the Baptist Board.

And to attack my education and ministry is equally a violation of Baptist Board rules. I will give you some time to reconsider your unChrist-like remarks and edit your post.

Perhaps I should suggest a simple "acid test"
for those whose been deceived into UNBELIEF:

Go on a missions trip with a reputable group of
pentecostals/charismatics, and see for yourself
the results of the baptism with the Holy Spirit
and the accompanying 9 power spiritual gifts
(1 Cor 12).

What you will be seeing are the result of
these believers praying "in the name of Jesus".

Then, ask yourself:
"Why would Satan be producing false miracles,
which are giving incredible glory to Jesus?"

Simple, isn't it.

Could it have something to do with 2 Thessalonians 2:9? "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders."
No, because this verse is specifically referring to
the coming of the antichrist, the man of sin,
the lawless one.
