Disinfectant

Or should we say disinfectant-gate? I was listening to the press conference. I remember Trump's comments, light, tad sarcastic. Kind of like, "hey too bad we can't just inject this..." is what I recalled inferring. Thought nothing of it, and found the information interesting, especially regarding light and heat. Then suddenly Drudge is in a frenzy along with the rest of the media.

Kind of reminds me of the "blood coming out of her wherever..." comment. Heard that live too, never inferred anything close to what the media inferred.

So now this will be the theme of the next election. Can Trump survive? Yeah.

The MSM wants to be offended at Trump, so the threshold is about non existent.
Yes, and more to the point the MSM wants everyone else to feel offended by Trump.

I was chatting with someone not too interested in politics but very interested in the coronavirus situation who commented, “You know, Trump doesn’t say anything like what the media try to say he says.” Yes, I’ve noticed that too.

I like President Trump and how he is handling the situation. But he asked some very odd questions (like beaming light into people and putting sanitizers like alcohol into the blood stream to kill the virus). He made it clear he was just asking, but came off looking like he was over his head.

Nothing odd about the presser. It was informative, and interesting. I like Trump's questions. Thinks outside the box, even to the point of a subtle sarcasm. Uptight reports are no reason to change.

An interesting idea to me is a drug that could be inhaled which would treat patients lungs. Aerosolized version of an antiviral medicine.

Trump was just conceptualizing, speaking out loud thoughts about things, not medical advice. I have done it myself but not publicly.

Which is fine, that's why I like him. But it drives the deranged nuts.

I like him and that he was open (asking questions but not pretending to be an expert, repeatedly saying that he is not a doctor).

That said, two of his questions reminded me that there are, in fact, stupid questions. Trump was asking about putting sanitizer into the blood stream (they were talking about bleach and alcohol) and about beaming light into the human body to kill the virus.

Again, nothing against the President - I like him. But those two questions did not make him appear to be thinking, either inside or outside of a box.

It's like watching George W Bush (probably my favorite President). I always cringed when he gave a speech because I knew he'd mispronounce something (like nuclear). That does not take away from the man. I did not vote for him because he was an outstanding speaker. Obama was a good speaker and look where that got us.

GWB could be loose and relaxed at times, which was fine, but he was a nightmare of a president. Only judges redeemed him, and he could have done a lot better than Roberts. Never ever defended himself against attacks (meaning he never defended those who supported him). Never battled China. Terrible on immigration. Got pushed around by the democrats and media. Hurt the conservative movement. No comparison.

...Trump was asking about putting sanitizer into the blood stream...

Sarcasm. We do things like this with chemo, but if you think he was talking about putting bleach in the blood you've become like the MSM.

I know Trump has hit the Bushes pretty hard. Maybe that's why you look for the worst possible angle.

Yes, may be, but on the other hand, brainstorming is a great way to stir imaginative thought that leads to real solutions. I’m not so sure he wasn’t repeating some brainstorming ideas mentioned elsewhere.

But of course the media will try to accuse him of suggesting people cut themselves open and shove flashlights in their chests.

That was not brainstorming and it surely wasn’t the forum for it. Stick to the facts of what we do know and let the Dr.’s do the brainstorming. It was bizarre watching that unfold...like “just stop.”

I have not seen it reported on any news network. I was going off watching President Trump speak and say that maybe sanitizers could be put in the blood stream when they mentioned alcohol kills the virus in 30 seconds. And I saw him say maybe we could beam light into people. Then there was the sanitizing by sunlight.
If that reflects your mindset then you have where we disagree. I like Trump and how he is guiding our nation. But someone should have tapped his foot and mouthed "shut up, Mr. President, you are coming off foolish to thinking people".

I think he just wanted to offer encouragement and show he was relying on experts.

But if that was Joe Biden we would be calling out his senility more than we are now.

I think those who have a beef with Trump are going to see the worst. You're a Bush guy, and Bush guys generally don't see the best in Trump. The Bushes can't even bring themselves to vote for the President. Understandable, as Trump was very hard on them.

Generally speaking, those who don't like Trump will say he wants to inject bleach in people. Those who like him or in indifferent, will yawn.

I like Trump just as well. In fact, I believe he is the best person for the job.

I have no problem at all with how Trump is handling things. I suspect he may be pandering a little to Christians, but that is good with me. I even like how he talks in interviews, up front and honest.

He just asked two stupid questions, that's all (and the sun sanitizer thing, which was not quite as bad).

Acknowledging what he said and the stupidity of the comments (NOT of the President but of the comments) is not having a beef with Trump. It is making an honest assessment.

It does not matter who asked those questions. They were dumb questions. I believe they were forced (Trump wanted to interact at that time).
