Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
In other words we could say, teach all nations (which would be Gentiles) to observe all that Jesus commanded His disciples.
I have a dear friend who has adopted the dispensational view of Scripture. He asserts that anything before Acts 28 is not addressed to the Church, including the teachings of Christ. Although, he says, we may benefit from such teachings, we are not bound by them as they were intended for those pre-church and should be viewed as "other people's mail."
What say ye?
