Distinction between Angel and Spirit

Who here believes that Angels and Spirits are one and the same?

Who here believes that Angels are distinct from Spirits?

I personally hold that Angels and Spirits are distinct, and that God can make Angels into Spirits at His command, based on this scripture:

Psalm 104:4 KJV
Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

Why would it bother to say that God makes his angels spirits, if these were one and the same?

Also, it just sounds strange to say that there is an angel of the mind:

Ephesians 4:23 KJV
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind​

If you take the first part of that verse as literally describing the composition of an Angle then you also have to take the second part the same way and believe all who minister are flaming fire. The passage is not trying to give us the make up of an Angel.

All angles are Spirit beings.
Heb 1:14
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

God is also Spirit.

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

I think the problem here is you are trying to understand the un-understandable. We cannot even understand what Spirit is much less define how another creature of God is.

An angel (both righteous and fallen) is a spirit that, under certain circumstances, can "materialize" into our four dimensional world
of height, width, depth and time. The bene ha Elohim ["sons of God"] of Genesis 6 are one such example.

Hierarchy of spiritual world might include

Triune Godhead (Father, Son, Spirit)

Cherub (pronounced kaw-rub)

Seraphs (pronounced saw-ruff)

Watchers, Holy Ones, Living Creatures

Special Angels (think Michael, Gabriel)

Regular Angels

I agree. All angels are spirits, but not all spirits are angels.

I know of one passage where it says that there are horsemen in heaven (2 Kings 2:12). Do you know of anywhere else that says that there are different creatures?
