Reconcile with her. Admit to her you are in violation of your marriage vows and make it right. Until then you are disqualified from any ministry.

That is from the Bible itself. and while we can and have debated on if sing;es/biblically dirvorced can assume pastor role, hopefully, we are can agree that the Bible teaches to us that a Christian cannot divorce another believer and not reconcile back to her, and if she has not yet remarried, to attempt to come back together again before the lord!

The timing of the divorce carries a lot of weight here. If the divorce was prior to salvation I do think the man would be permitted to pastor and preach.
If he was saved and then divorced he could possibly pastor and preach IF it was because the wife was an adulterous. Other than that I would say no.

Bumping a five-year-old thread here. I fall into the latter category because my first wife abandoned the marriage for an affair. In the intervening years, I married again, this time to a woman who herself was divorced because her first husband was an unrepentant pedophile.
While I have no desire to pastor a church, I would still like doing pulpit supply or some kind of rescue mission stuff in my old age. So I appreciate the opinion and the distinctions drawn here.
