No Yeshua1 is simply making that up.
The SDA church teaches that the majority of the saints today are not in the relatively small group of 17 million SDAs - but the majority are in Christian denominations outside the Adventist church.
If we can be accurately dinged on anything in that regard it is that we not only accept that there are saved saints in other denominations - but we also accept the Romans 2:11-16 teaching that even some among those who have no Bible at all - are saved.
However as DHK noted in one of the quotes from the book "Great Controversy" - we do believe that in the future there will be the Rev 13 and Rev 14 issue of the Mark of the Beast and the Image to the Beast that will be setup world wide. And the prediction is that at that time the issue will arise over the 4th commandment. Something we have not seen at that level in all of time.
There are others like DHK that predict that this will not happen in that future Rev 13 and Rev 14 scenario. Time will tell who is correct.
Andy Stanley, and D.L. Moody both have sermons available on line where they explain the serious nature of accepting all ten of the ten commandments. D.L. Moody, R.C. Sproul, The Baptist Confession of Faith 1689 and C.H. Spurgeon all agree that the Ten Commandments were moral law given in Eden and continue for the saints today.
We happen to agree with them on those two points - the Ten Commandments are the moral law given in Eden, they still apply to the saints today - and it is a serious matter to decide to break them.
How that plays out in the future in terms of Rev 13, and Rev 14 is where we differ.
in Christ,
Bob
