Do Our Soldiers Deserve The Death Penalty

    Soldiers in a war zone are not "like any other American citizen" and are not subject to the laws of the country in which they are in armed conflict.

    I think you know the difference and are being deliberately obtuse just for the sake of argument.

    The UCMJ rules.

    Since when did our soldiers become a priviledged class of people? A rape was committed by someone, when is did rape become a symptom of battle stress? These are crimes that , if proven, have nothing to do with encountering a military enemy especially when you consider the rape of a 14 year old girl.These men do not deserve the priviledge of escaping Iraqi justice if they are guilty.

    Our military personel are not subject to courts in other countries. They will be subject to the military courts. Although you and the U.N.would love to be able to do this.

    Hmmm. Sounds like we may have a good Military Dictatorship in the making instead of the Democracy that we wanted them to so badly have.
    BTW Carpro, you never did weigh in on whether you think they may deserve the death penalty if they are found to be guilty.
