Do some Christains Worship America like an Idol

I kinda feel this way. Now I'm all for patriotism for one's nations and gratefulness to live in a privileged nation such as America, but When I see Christians jumping for joy over the prospect that America may be mystery Babylon, like it's something to be proud of, it kinda gets me a little red in the face. :BangHead::tonofbricks: (And yes, I have actually seen some Christians do this, though not on this forum.)

Anyways, what are your thoughts?

I'm not sure where you are going here but I will say I don't idolize America but I really don't take the Obama stance of demonizing Americas exceptionalism. I take a lot of pride in being an American. I feel it is the greatest country ever.

I have seen no evidence of worship of America, but have the Republican Party. The evidence of that is voting for the party despite its candidate being a cult member, pro abortionist, and pro gay rights. Lots of people love their country as they should, but no of no one who worships America. Most are ready to speak up when America does something wrong, like stick our nose in a country that has nothing to do with our national security.

God is over the USA just like every other nation and I believe America has overall been a force for good in this world but it is not infallible and we as Americans are not God's chosen people any more than Russians or Chileans.
