Do You believe in God?

We do not only need to believe in the Son of God, we must also believe in the One who sent Him, i.e. God the Father.

We cannot please God if we do not believe He exists or rewards those who seek Him.

Can we be saved if we do NOT believe in the Trinity, One God in three Persons? Of course not.

That would be like saying I believe in one third of God, or I believe in two thirds of God, but I do NOT believe in the Triune God.

you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love the LORD [Yahweh] your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Now Jesus cried out and said, “The one who believes in Me, does not believe only in Me, but also in Him who sent Me.

Now without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.

Some folks believe God the Father created the Son, rather than God the Son is our Eternal God.

Some folks believe the Holy Spirit is a force and power, but NOT a person, with will, emotion and intellect.

When did the Lord make understanding the Trinity a requirement for salvation?

I think I missed that somewhere in the Scripture.

Please read the OP again, I provided multiple verses.

What you've posted is Van's opinion! I've studied the Scripture all my life and I don't understand the relationship between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and neither do you! It was never explained to us.

It seems you've taken it upon yourself to determine what man must believe to be saved, I suppose you know more about than Paul?

Van, I would advise you be very careful in telling the less knowledgeable what they must do to be saved.

The apostle Paul has laid that out very carefully for us to understand.

We can't add or take from it, when we do we enter into a place of danger.

Van many people have been saved and never knew of the trinity or do you think none of the OT saints were saved?

And in the present day people are saved through faith in Christ Jesus. Later they will learn more and have the Trinity explained but knowing about the Trinity is not a requirement for ones salvation.

Brother. Maybe not.

Matthew 28:19-20, Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: . . . .

Is water baptism our salvation?

Not the water baptism.

2 John 1:9, Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

1 John 5:1, Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: . . . .

The Apostle Paul in , 1 Corinthians 1:17, For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

The Trinity is the name of explanation.

Three distinct Persons, God the Father, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit who are the One and the Same LORD God.

Show me in Scripture where the Trinity is explained so I can understand exactly how that relationship works in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

If you deny the Deity of any of the 3 Persons, per the bible, you have a different and another god
Romans 8:9, But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Romans 8:16, The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: . . . .

1 John 5:12, He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

John 4:24, God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

1 John 5:12, He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
. . . Spirit of God . . . .
. . . Spirit of Christ . . . .
. . . The Spirit Himself . . . .
Three distinct Persons, who are the same Spirit being They are the One God.

We know that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one in unity with same common goal.

But how can 3 distinct persons be One God?

Is that possible for the human mind to process?

From this comes many opinions on what the Trinity is, how that relationship works, who is who in the grand scheme of things.
