I strongly dislike the change to daylight savings time!

I'm one of those strange people that likes it dark earlier. I think and focus better when it's dark. Maybe because I'm a night owl.

I think we should just be on standard time all year. There is no reason to change it.

No, I don't like it because I like it to get lighter, earlier in the morning and darker, earlier in the evening.

I'm a morning person and I don't like to clean house until it gets light. I also don't like to go to bed until it is dark...

Whichever one they're going to use, I wish they'd leave it the same all year!

Well-----------call me a Fuddy Dudd but I like DST

It gets daylight by 5am

And dark by 8:45pm

When we lived down in Florida---I really liked it, too------because you could get out on the lake by 4:30pm and fish until dark---around 10pm!!

I think we should pick one time and stick with it instead of having to change the clocks every six months. Why not just let us wake up and go to bed with the sun like they did back in the olden days?

I like it staying lighter later and wish they'd keep it like this. But I hate losing the hour sleep as well as the 15 people who didn't make it to church because they forgot to change their clocks.

No. I never remember to change the clocks. I didn't even know it had changed Sunday morning until someone mentioned it Sunday afternoon. Since my TV and computer automatically change, I doubt I would have noticed my clocks were an hour behind--unless I looked at the computer clock and then the clock that sits on top of my computer.

I do not care which they use, I just wish it would stay the same.

I think Hawaii and Arizona dont observe DST.

I wish Texas didnt!

Who stops you from doing that?
Anyway, although I don't care for changing the clocks twice a year, it's no major conflict. But it seems to be based on the idea that people, and businesses, are not competent enough to arrange things themselves for adequate sunlight during warm/hot weather for more gardening, recreation, et al. Or, for that matter, if evening sunlight is so much more important and it's nothing to go to work or school in the dark, why it's not changed more than a single hour, and/or the time is not changed (forwarded) permanantly.

I like getting ready in the light. BUT I do not really care one way or the other. I'm in the camp that would like for them to choose one and stick with it. I really don't like either time change. *bleh*

I heard a report last week that concluded that during the first 2 weeks after the spring forward change, heart attacks are up 5%, and that for the 2 weeks following the fall back change, they are down 5%. If this is true, obviously the net change is 0, but it does indicate that the human body is not designed or equipped well to suddenly change routine by an hour relative to the position of the sun. The difference as the seasons continually fluctuate is 1 to 2 minutes per day for most of us as the days get "longer" or "shorter," and that seems to be our normal continuous change.

I love the extended daylight hours that come in the evening with DST. I am always glad when we switch to it and I'm glad it has been extended in recent years.

My hubby leaves for work about 6 a.m. In the winter, we're up before daylight due to his work schedule. If I went to bed at dusk during the winter, we'd have to skip dinner. Here in the mountains, the sun seems to rise late and set early.

I think it's silly. We have exactly the same number of hours of daylight either way--except for the one day that we change in the spring and fall. I don't really see the point.
