Victory needs that we stay the course.
We can turn tail and run anytime.

    Ed's Victory criteria.

Last summer we celebrated the 60th year
of our occupation of Germany and Japan.
We are still there after 60 years.
If we still have our military stationed in
Iraq (or what ever successor countries
might be then) in 2063, then we will have
won the War of the Liberation of Iraq.

But even yet in Iraq, we can snatch
defeat from the very jaws of Victory

Under total surveillance by our "public servants". That's the new freedom.

Yes, we should stay the course no matter what and our enemies need to have no doubt about that or cause for hope otherwise.

Comparing WWII to Iraq is flawed.

The Germans and Japanese wore uniforms, answered to a recognized chain of command, etc. - they were lawful combatants - but they, just like the terrorists - unlawful combatants - were our mortal enemies. We had to have strong resolve to defeat them because it sure wasn't easy, took a long time, cost a lot of killed and injured, cost a lot of money, didn't look too good for us along the way, and disrupted the lives of many people.

Just a generic statement, but in any conflict that involves shedding of American blood for our freedom, there should be an assumption of leadership, common sense, and good moral character of those doing the leading.

Give ya a hint, same excuse most Americans are using today...we were only following orders.

I really think if George Bush come right out and ordered Americans to jump off a cliff that half would comply while calling the other half unpatriotic.

Come to think about it that's exactly what he is ordering us to do and half the people are complying. God have mercy on us all.

</font>[/QUOTE]Our senior leaders - civilian and military - have not given any orders to our nation's military that are illegal, immoral, or unethical and certainly nothing even remotely close to the things done by the Germans or Japanese.

I beg your pardon Dragoon but how would we now this? Any time mention is made of it or documents revealed the "leaders" deny it and the people scream liberal liberal liberal democrat democrat democrat traitor traitor traitor at the top of their lungs any promptly forget and evidence that doesn't favor the "official line".

Then as if by some miracle the government does decide to investigate itself it always comes up with the same standard conclusion, in order to protect you we need more power more control and more money and the people except it every time.

I just posted an article where the ACLU has 90,000 pages of documents that could prove whether or not the "senior leaders" as you call them ordered a systematic abuse of prisoners at Gitmo that they have of course denied right down the line. Guess what, no one wants to talk about the documents their all to busy bashing the ACLU for being liberals and traitors

So how would you know? How would we know? How in the whole wide world could we know? Take the governments word for it? Excuse me but that isn't exactly being a good American in the opinion of our founding fathers, that's being scared little sheople afraid of their own shadows and begging for safety from their federal saviors imho.

Thats a side issue and and a flat out deceptive way of getting out of a debate about evidence. Period! And I resent the implication that I support them from someone that has never ever seen anywhere on this board or anywhere else where stated that I support them.

Post all the the links you want FC. Evidence is still evidence no matter who reveals it. Whether you agree with their ideals or not.

This is exactly what I was trying to tell you Dragoon. Thank you for the prime example FC. See what I mean Dragoon, we've become so conditioned to following "official lines" and the liberal vs conservative and republican vs democrat debates (bread and games the same as Caesar gave the Romans while destroying their republic) that we don't even know what it means to be Americans anymore.

So how could we know what this government is really up to, what they have planned and who they have already sold us too?

Attention? If you want my attention you can simply type. Hey Poncho or PM me. You don't have to insult me to get my attention. And this thread isn't about the ACLU. It's about whether or not we should pull out of Iraq.

You want to discuss the ACLU then start a thread and I'll be happy to have a discussion about it with you.

Kill me in a time of war? C'mon FC I'm a born again Christian believer. Why should I fear what would put me in the presence of my savior?

The federal god's can't save me from something I must do anyways namely die. [IMG]

a nation divided will not stand I don't know
but it seems everyone is against America and
many here Christians need to rally together
to support America and yes defend her our forefathers believed that and many of them were
pastors their legacy should be ours if we don't
foolishly turn against ourselves by believing foolish propaganda from the enemy of course some of our leaders are corrupt ministers as well do we abandone our faith God forbid that is why Christians need to be leading our Nation politically monetarily and in every position of leadership of course our faith for this must be of God and I still have faith that most Americans get it please pray for our leaders and if they err may God's will over rule theirs and may He replace them with men of faith but it is our responsibility to vote and research who should lead us and yes run for office get involved America needs us far too many liberals sit in offices meant for christians
