Not to answer for Curtis' but no, he can't. If there is ever any doubt about anyone's intent, he assumes to worst and goes on the attack. Happens time and again.

Shameful for a Christian...even worse for a bluegrass fan.

Just pointing out the dishonesty I see from Ken, & others from the Obama camp. And you are sure one to talk about attacking people. And you should also know a thing or two about shameful Christian traits.

And I'm much more than a fan of bluegrass.

And blugrass fans watch me, dude.

And we want more! :)

By the way, weren't you going to be working on a CD project with some young bluegrassers? How is that coming?

It got put on hold, due to an awful thing that happened to us earlier this year. You may have noticed my absence for a few weeks, a while ago. We are just now beginning to think about music. But thanx for asking. Phyllis and I have to finish our C.D., which we also had to put on the shelf, and then we'll get Caleb & Jesse over here.

Sorry to hear about your bad event.

Please keep us informed on your CD projects. Maybe you could submit it to bluegrassradio.org and get some Internet play. I would certainly be glad to put in a good word with the owner for ya. :)

We should move this to PMs., but I do have a few finished songs of ours, and we do have all the permission & copywrite stuff worked out, so I could shoot you a CD, sans cool graphics & such......

Ok Curtis, all debates aside...I'd like to hear your stuff too. I am an ok guitar guy and just learning the mando, so I can cut you a break (once in a while) on your politics if you guys are putting out some fine bluegrass.

Perhaps what he really said is that your interpretation is absurd. Hate is not a value that should be espoused by any Christian...but what is really sad is that many exhibit just that.

Homosexual acts are sinful and hateful to God.

Preaching against sin is the duty of every Christian preacher.

If you call that "hate" on the part of the preacher, I suggest remedial Bible study.

According to you , John the Baptist was preaching hate and had no right to baptize Jesus, but Jesus insisted.

I know where that puts your:thumbs: brand of theology.

It's sad when Christians speak out against things that are clearly against God's word and then get labeled by other Christians for espousing hatred.

I don't think Christians should hate other sinners - least we forget who we are - but I sure think they should hate sin and speak out against it calling it what it is regardless - least we forget Whom we follow. We must be bold but not pious.

I think there should be some wisdom - not political correctness - should be involved in this. It does no good to simply bring out the wrath and anger of other sinners if there's no gain for the Lord. The purpose shouldn't be to stir up trouble. The purpose should be to give glory to the Lord by standing for the truth of His word. On the other hand, the worst we can do is to water down God's word to gain the favor of sinners rather than risk offending them by what we know is the truth.

I think we often fail in this both ways.

We can expect Satan and sinners to be offended by God's word. It has a way of getting in the way of what they - including we - want to do. If fact, some times I think it's a good sign when they are offended because we can be more certain we're on the right track.

I liked Tennessee Tuxedo...as I recall Don Adams was his voice. However, my avatar is Tux, the mascot for the Linux operating system.

I see I touched a nerve. :)

I say John the Baptist preached against sin. You believe preaching against sin is "preaching hate".

Therefore you must believe John was "preaching hate" as well.

Care to make a Biblical argument to support your position?

Uh huh. I didn't think so.
