Boiled vs. Baked. Do they taste the same?

In England, a large baked potato with a thick skin that falls apart from the flesh is called a Jacket Potato. The jacket is what makes it special. There's no such jacket on a boiled potato. In fact, we would tend to use different kinds of potatoes for baking or boiling.

I don't eat them very often, but I would say baked and boiled taste about the same. And all I put on them is pepper. I hate butter, and nothing else of the usual condominiums are any good.
