Does God have a Mother?

JohnV, then you are dividing Jesus into two natures, human and divine as Nestorius did because you said he was not 100% human before he was born out of Mary.
If human nature was attached to Him thru Mary, doesn't it mean that He was without human nature before that time?
Therefore can we say not that Mary is the mother only for the human nature?

Eventually you guys are dividing Jesus into two aspects as Nestorius did.

Think about 100% human and 100% divine in one unity before the birth!

Trinity concept:

If you deny Mary is the mother of Holy Spirit, and deny that Mary is Mother of God the Father,

but you believe in Tri-unity or trinity of God,

then how can you say that God the Son has His Mother?

Isn't the Bible is wiser than you are when it says "without mother, like Son of God" ?

Natters, then you are returning to what I mentioned in the other thread. "The ovum of Mary was not used" instead, Word itself became flesh and Mary is just a human incubator or a surrogate mother. This is why Heb 7:3 says Son of God has no mother!

If you are correct, then you have a contradiction in scripture, for scripture calls Mary the "mother" of Jesus, who is "the Son of God".

Not at all. Jesus is fully human, and fully divine, without separate distinction. Hence, Mary, being his mother, is fully his mother, and since he is fully God the Son, she is mother of God the Son.
This is why Heb 7:3 says Son of God has no mother!

Youre presumption is based on error of interpretation. Hebrews 7:3 doesn't refer to Jesus. Not until verse 11 is Jesus talked about.

That is Jesus Christ. However, Bible never express " Mother of God" because Mary didn't give birth to "divinity" of Christ.

We have to stay with the Bible expression only. Otherwise we will be trapped into goddess worshipping as we see in Roman Catholic, Worship of Mary as Queen of Heaven (Jeremkiah 44:15-25)

What your'e doing is separating the natures of Jesus, doing the very thing you accuse the rest of us of doing. My spiritual nature is from God alone, but is it wrong for me to refer to my mother as only my physical mother? Ridiculous.

Jesus is 100% God and 100% man, inseperable from each other. He is 100% God the Son. Mary is his mother, so it is correct to refer to her as mother of God the Son.

What the people calling Mary as Mother of God must answer is the following:

How can you say God the Son has Mother while 3 deities are in unity,

1)namely God the Father, Holy Spirit, and God the Son are in one
2) Son of God has Mother, while Father and the Spirit do not have Mother.

Was Mary the Mother of God, before Jesus was born?

Easy: Mary is mother of God the Son. Not at all difficult to comprehend. Understand fully? Probably not until we go to be with the Lord. But comprehend? It seems you're the only one who doesn't comprehend it.

Yes. She was his mother from the time she concieved.

The 3 persons of the Trinity are not "one" in the way you think. Your question is approaching Monarchianism. For example, the Holy Spirit wasn't crucified, the Father wasn't begotten, etc.

I believe Jesus is Son of God, but do not call Mary as Mother of God because her maternity relates only to the humanity!

You are denying Trinity by separating God the Son having the Mother, and Holy Spirit and God the Father having no Mother.

The humanity is God. The Word was made flesh!

False. Apparently you do not understand the orthodox definition of the Trinity.
