Does it matter why a person "comes to Christ" or just that a person comes???

Why (motives) someone gets saved matters?

Personally, I believe God gets our attention through the Gospel, whether through someone preaching it, discussing it...

How about someone close living it? You know, preaching, PROVING, the gospel using no words at all.

15 but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: being ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:
16 having a good conscience; that, wherein ye are spoken against, they may be put to shame who revile your good manner of life in Christ. 1 Pet 3

I agree. Jesus said to "let your light so shine that others may see your good works, and glorify your Father, which is in heaven". So many times we can be a witness without even saying one word.
