No, you didn't. I was sharing a success story that I've actually witnessed.

Here's an article (too long to post it all) by a Christian writer on Depression.

Depression
"Office visits for depression increased from 10.99 million in 1988 to 20.43 million in 1993. Visits for depression doubled for both primary care physicians and psychiatrists" (JAMA, February 18, 1998, Vol. 279, No. 7, p. 526).

Depression is typically characterized by its sufferers as a state in which feelings of guilt, shame, and fear predominate. Typically depressed people describe their thought life as focused on ideas of sadness, worthlessness, and hopelessness. Out of these feelings and thoughts come the usual behaviors of the depressed person: sleeplessness, eating problems, withdrawal, crying, listlessness. Almost universally, people who complain of depression are at the same time very introspective and give an inordinate amount of attention to their thoughts and feelings. Sufferers of depression strive to "understand" the causes of the depression, as do most of those who seek to help them out of the depressed state of mind. These common human efforts to understand the cause have produced, over the last century, a multitude of theories, books, and schools of counseling. This is a no-brainer!!!
II Tim and Titus gives the qualifications for those in "leadership" within the church. does this person meet those qualifications?

YES? Then they should serve!!
NO? Then they should not!!

If a mental illness causes a person to violate those qualifications then they are not to serve.

We all have some type to some extent of mental illness. For example I myself am severely mentally handicapped. Yes it's true. PROOF???!!!

I have four kids (15 to 1 years) and want more!
