Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved-Ephesians 1:3-6 combined with Isaiah 5:1-2:--> 1 Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: 2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein...

Song of Solomon 2:10-15
10 My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

11 For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;

12 The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;

13 The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

14 O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.

15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.

Colossians 3:1-4 & 10-12
.3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of GOD.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in GOD.

4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.

10 And have put on the new man,
which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him:

11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of GOD, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Peace

So, instead of a discussion about which church is more likely to coddle peaodo (start your own thread please) why not comment on this decision by your Pope?

Do you think God will bless a same s:x couple because this Pope says so? If so, please explain why. If not, please explain why not.

peace to you

Cancer grows quickly too.

An infection in your knee can make that knee twice as big as the other knee, but that doesn’t mean it’s twice as good.

The “priesthood” naturally appeals to homosexuals since they are forbidden to marry. It’s well known.

Existing priests who may deal with homosexual tendencies yet are committed to a life of chastity and otherwise to the Church’s teachings can certainly continue in their priestly ministry.

Regarding candidates for the priesthood, in December 2016 the Congregation for the Clergy, with Pope Francis’s approval, reaffirmed that men who live a homosexual lifestyle, have “deep-seated homosexual tendencies,” or support the “so-called ‘gay culture’” cannot be admitted to the ministerial priesthood

They are also forbidden to have a “same sex” relation with another person. So what’s the deal? I know a few priests that would walk the streets of their local community, always reaching out to the down trodden, assisting them where necessary, keeping spirits up etc. They were not running around sodomizing one another. These guys were Christian men spreading Christs love. And they helped my mother immensely. Frankly, I don’t see that class of priest anymore.

Still, it continues to happen unfortunately. The question is could a homosexual be a priest and suppress the gay tendency and live a chaste life?

Now pedofiles are another type altogether because they prey on children… they must not be admitted nor should they have any contact with children at all.

It’s not the brownness he in concerned with, it’s the illegalness and lawlessness.

No one leaves their gate or door wide open for anyone to walk in their house.

Thank you … the lawlessness is of great concern and should be for each and every citizen of the USA

And on that note, I have always attempted to follow the RC Popes by measuring their behavior via studying encyclicals they publish… after all, they are supposedly the heads (leaders) of the RCChurch. And I do have over 35 years invested in their Christian development (a first half of life thing before regeneration). So today December 30th marks Pope Benedict’s 1st years passing and I came across this article.

A Year Without Benedict

The light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
My Lord JESUS came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on His name-JESUS. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD-the Word is GOD, understand? And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth-John 1:5-14.

Hebrews 1:1-4
1 GOD, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days (last around 2000 years) spoken unto us by His Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also GOD made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of His glory, and the EXPRESS IMAGE of GOD's Person-the Word is GOD- , and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

4 Being made so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent NAME than they. (as is written in Acts 4:12. Take a look).

My Lord JESUS said: Luke 6:25 - ...Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

Your opinion is good for nothing. What matters and prevails is the Word of GOD, the Word is from everlasting to everlasting, the Word is GOD, self-executing /self-executable, understand? Your thinking is from a human perspective, a stumblingblock-Genesis 3:1- , not from GOD's perspective-Matthew 16:23.

There are so few priests now for pastoral work, it’s the reason that the laity are now being called out to work on the frontline.
God still works His miracles through us though.

That Catholic Church is fastest growing Church in the world, so I don't know where you come up with these bogus stats. Meanwhile, most Baptist churches filled with blue haired women and men who are willing to keep their pedophiles in the pulpit at any cost. Any search will see that Catholic Church is growing by leaps and bounds, meanwhile Baptist fundamentalist (after pointing fingers at Catholics and their sexual scandals' are ripe with them themselves. Anyone watch the sad series on IFB predators (Let us prey) at the top levels being sentenced to long terms in prison for 'diddling all the youngsters while 'showing them the way to Jesus'??

Hundreds Accuse Independent Baptist Pastors of Abuse SICK SCUM

When you have to point to someone else and avoid dealing with the topic of the op then it shows a lack of any real argument. Further, when you add words like "most" (which is unsupported) in an attempt to exaggerate your claim it also shows a lack of argument and most likely a post made out of a heightened sense of emotion. Your post adds nothing to this discussion and only makes you look like you are trying to wash the claim by the Pope under the rug. Do you support what the Pope said?

It is also wrong to argue for whether a denomination is growing or not growing as evidence that there is truth found in it. One has nothing to do with the other.

Yes however he (Walter) was attempting to address my statement pertaining to people leaving the RCC. In retrospect, I should have clarified my statement to specifics… like long standing US Roman Catholics are leaving and being replaced by those flooding our boarders. I would like to ask the question, what is being done to accommodate existing RC’s set on leaving the church in the first place?
