You completely miss the point of “scripture alone” theology.
As long as the focus is on scripture alone we can discuss the meaning in context. People can have different views and “work out our salvation in fear and trembling” allowing research into biblical languages to guide our understanding.
What the RCC church has done throughout history is say “believe what we say or we will kill you”.
This includes….
1. RCC church invents purgatory and demands followers to give money to the church to lessen the suffering of loved ones who have died.
2. RCC tells followers “trust us”, you don’t need to understand what the Bible says, just do what we say
3. RCC protects pedos, moving offending priests from parish to parish, guarteeing new victims and threatens families if they reveal the truth
4. RCC declares Pope infallible
5. RCC declares Mary co-redemptor with Jesus.
A many, many, many other beliefs and practices that contradict God’s Word.
Additionally, your Pope’s statement that priest can bless same s:x couples and just another in a long line of shameful statements that give the enemies of God great occasion to blaspheme His name
peace to you
Christianity began by the Spoken and preached Word of God by the power of The Holy Spirit, only later was some of it written down.
People trying to recreate Christianity from only what is written alone are missing a vast part of Christianity.
‘ Bible alone “ is false and is nowhere taught in the Bible.
Besides Bible aloners ignore the Bible anyway.
They ignore Paul who says “ hold to the traditions we taught you either by word of mouth or by letter “
Scripture even says that the church is the pillar and foundation of the truth, they ignore that as well.
They ignore all the conflicted interpretations of scripture and doctrines of other Bible alone denominations, all of whom say they are guided by The Holy Spirit to interpret scripture correctly.
There is not an ounce of introspection to just stop and say, ‘ There is something massively wrong here ‘.
The Holy Spirit is The Spirit of Truth, He is not going to teach conflicting and even opposing interpretations and doctrines to different groups.
If Luther was right and The Holy Spirit was behind the new Bible alone idea, Protestantism would be completely United.
All Protestantism would be Lutheran and everyone would interpret scripture exactly as Luther did, because Luther was inspired by The Holy Spirit.
You will know doctrine by its fruit, and the fruit of sola scriptura is chaos and division, not truth.
All of these are human founded traditions of men all interpreting what they want from scripture.
The Ancient Apostolic and Catholic Church teaches one and the same faith from the beginning however.
