Does Your Church have Age requirement For water baptism?

Water baptism is an act of faith, putting to death the old man and rising again in Christ. Of course it's spiritual, that's a given. As Christ died and rose again. He gave us the example.

It is a public confession indicating that you identify with Christ and that the old man has already been put away [Romans 6:11]as you are made new in Christ[ 2 Cor 5:17].

My husband's criteria is that the child is able to articulate their faith clearly - showing an understanding of what has gone on. When they can do that, the are ready to be baptized.
