1) I have done no such thing. Either prove your charge or retract it.Originally posted by KenH:

1) You yet again declare that your life and others are no more important and perhaps even less important than animals.
2) It probably took someone of character to put them out of their misery, as many would have allowed them to starve, or dehydrate, by simply leaving.
I think he said, he would stay and take his chances rather than abandon his pets. Of course we would chose human life over animal. The human vs. animal dichotomy is a bit of a straw man. I feel especially sorry for the people, but I'm sad for the animals too.Originally posted by hillclimber:
You also said in a previous post that you would die with your pets rather than live and let them die. I'm sure God doesn't agree with that line of morality.
If I am to be rescued then so must my dogs. Otherwise, I won't go. Period. And I don't care who has a problem with that, hillclimber. Do you know why, hillclimber? In deciding what I would do it's a simple thing of mind over matter - I don't mind and you don't matter.Originally posted by hillclimber:

I agree with your sentiments. I love my dogs too.Originally posted by KenH:

That's certainly a noble and valid action. I, however, have a wife and kids, and I will always choose to live to see my wife and kids again over perishing with my animals, since doing so would rob my wife and children of a father and husband. I'm sure you would concur.Originally posted by KenH:

If that is your so-called "proof", hillclimber, then you obviously have a problem with trying to think logically.Originally posted by hillclimber:

No, it wouldn't. But I sure would try to get myself and my dogs to safety.Originally posted by blackbird:
I'm gonna bet---if you saw that water risin' 6"/hour and its just a matter of 2 hours before that H2O is cascadeing over your sandbags and into your house---that your story will somehow change!!!
