Not sure that those the governments in those countries behind the Iron Curtain "allowed" all of those folks to move who moved.
Why do you think all of those Jews who were murdered in Germany stayed around to be killed rather than simply moving to another country?

Many did move. Many tried, but were turned back. I read about a large ship with Jews fleeing the holocaust came to the US, but were turn away and sent back to Europe

Not really sure how this discussion relates to DT and abortion.

Yes Ken, I think if MAGA repubs could get organized to form another party, they could win.

But that is an enormous political infrastructure that would take many years to develop.

It doesn't (it relates to Ken's comment concerning laws).

Just saw new polls. Doesn’t look like DT’s statements hav had any impact so far.

I was surprised, I guess, to see Pence is so unpopular with repubs. About 45% say they would never vote for him. Only Christie was higher and above 50%.

Someone mentioned earlier they didn’t think repubs trust Pence and it looks like they were correct.

That’s too bad. I think Pence would be a good POTUS. He is the strongest, I think in abortion and has been consistent throughout his career.

Will anyone what GOP primary debate this week. I have to say, it looks like DT is a runaway winner in the primaries at this point.

I really thought his comment on abortion might move some voters away. He just keeps getting stronger.

Is DT a political genius?

peace to you

The lawlessness is so great that only chastisement will correct the situation. Things are too far gone, people will bring about upheaval and destruction.

Concerning "RINOs", I wonder how many in the New Right Populist/MAGA movement understand that if the people they pejoratively refer to as "RINOs" don't vote for their brand of Republican candidates, then their brand of Republican candidates have very little chance of winning in a competitive election; they would only have a great chance of winning in elections where the majority of the voters are New Right Populist/MAGA-type voters.
You know, the irony is that the true RINO's are eight Republicans that voted with the entire Democrat Congress against the rest of the Republicans.....and they are a part of the New Right Populist/MAGA.

It seems every time the GOP is in a position to gain ground it is sabotaged by a few on the extreme right.

Now we are in a position where we need Congress to act, to be working diligently for the nation, but they can't because the GOP can't pull it together.

You must be a oneworlder, you always try to lead people to that direction. You prefer us to be sheep who go along to get along as we travel en masse to the slaughterhouse. Am I reading too much into your statements? That would be nice, but I doubt it. Which is the better path for the country? Bought & paid for? Not for me, thanks anyway. I’ve got a contingent of eight for your pleasure too…maybe you like them better………..

Tucker Carlson: “So if you were in charge of NATO, if you were, say, Joe Biden, what would your next move be in the war in Ukraine?” Viktor Orbán: “Peace immediately. Call back Trump. That's the only way out. The best foreign policy of the recent several decades belonged to him. He did not initiate any new war. Yes. He treated nicely the North Koreans and Russia, even the Chinese, you know. He delivered a policy which was the best one for Middle East Abrahamic codes. Yes. So that was a very good foreign policy. He's criticized that he's not educated enough to understand the word. This is not the case. The facts count. And his foreign policy was the best form for the word in the last several decades I have seen. And if he would have been the president at the moment of the Russian invasion started, no, it would be not possible to do that by the Russians. So Trump is the man who can save the Western world. And probably. the human beings in the globe as well.” We will never have peace anywhere, whether it’s Israel Palestine/ Hamas etc as long as all these money laundering warmongers are in charge and making decisions

No. I believe that nations should be separate.

But yes....the GOP has 8 RINOs that partnered with the 8 you listed to cripple the GOP in Congress.

In regards to the US this means that we need to first secure our nation. We need strong borders and a strong immigration policy.

Now, if you mean a "one nation" (as my comment was about the US) then yes - I believe that Americans need to be Americans, not hyphenated Americans.

We need to end systematic racism - it exists now in the form of affirmative action - instead of promoting it.

We need to be US Citizens....not hyphenated citizens.

So yes, I do believe we need to view the US as one nation.

I believe we need to sanction Iran and China. China is the biggest enemy we have at this time.

I believe we also need to support Israel. They do not need troops, but they need support. And this is in our nations interest.

On this thread our major disagreements seem to be:

1. I believe that the US needs to secure its borders. I don't know that a wall will do it....but at least send troops. We can't survive with open boarders.

2. I believe that we need US citizens, NOT hyphenated Americans...we do need a single US nation.

3. I believe we need to support Israel. I believe this is in our interest.

4. I believe Affirmative Action IS systemic racism. It divides the country and discriminates against people.

5. People that believe that focusing on the needs of the US - making the US stronger and safer - is a "oneworld" idea are liberal leftists even if they pretend to be conservative.

6. I believe the US should withdraw from the UN.

7. I believe that the US Congress should do their job. They have a responsibility to pass a budget by the end of the FY. They have a responsibility to the US people.

I realize this is opposed to your position. But I view you, based on your comments, as a leftist with liberal ideologies. I would not say Democrat, but I could see you supporting Sanders.

And that is fine. You have that freedom.

But I also have that freedom. So yes, I do believe in a united country....Americans. and yes, I do believe we should support Israel. And yes, I do believe we need closed boarders. And yes, I do believe we should be able to own firearms. And yes, I do believe we should deport illegal aliens. And yes, I do believe we should end affirmative action. And yes, I do believe we should end hyphenated America.

So yes....I do believe we should strive for a united nation, knowing there will always be divisions.

You may object to my beliefs, but that will not change my mind.

Going on @Wingman68 's comments:

What is wrong with expecting US citizens to be US citizens rather than hyphenated Americans?

I purpose that this is a part of the issue we have today. Too many people are like @Wingman68 . They want minority rule (their minority) and view any type of patriotism as a one world mentality.

But what if we kept prayer in school? What if we kept the Pledge in schools....and "one nation under God"? What if we taught a national identity....to the US....in schools? What if we taught the US Constitution? What if we actually followed the US Constitution? What if the US was self-sustaining, not dependent on foreign countries? What if we drilled our own oil? What if we looked after our citizens first?

I suggest that is better than minority rule.

We should not be ashamed to be US citizens, and we should not be ashamed to be patriotic. This is not a one world government but a US government ran for the people, by the people, as a whole.

We should be less concerned about policing or governing the world and more concerned about the US.

Start by leaving the UN (something I suspect @Wingman68 , by his objections, to view as a type of political heresy).

What are you bloviating about now? You are the one who designated certain republicans as:

‘and they are a part of the New Right Populist/MAGA.

It seems every time the GOP is in a position to gain ground it is sabotaged by a few on the extreme right.’

It would be enlightening to see a description of those who you consider ‘extreme right’. What makes them earn that title?

I find it waste of time engaging with a non-voting citizen. Why would anyone care what you think of a system that you are not part of. Stop trying to drag me into your moderator trap, where in the end, you get someone else to do the banning. Wonder if they feel used when you do that? I would.

You said that I supported some "one world" something or other.

You responded to my position that the US needs to look after the US as meaning I was a "oneworlder".

What I said is that we had 8 "Republicans" side with 212 Democrats against 213 Republicans.

That has nothing to do with a "one world". I don't support the Democrats desire to make the Republican led Congress ineffective, especially as an election is coming up.

I define the "extreme right" as those who are willing to sacrifice the nation for their political ideologies.

Our nation was founded on the principle that differing parties compromise, hoping to get the best of each side. The extreme right (and the extreme left) would rather harm the nation than allow the voice of US citizens as a whole be heard.

You supported the 212 Democrats and 8 RINOs. I don't. I grant you have the right to support the DNC. So that's fine.

But just because I thought the 212 Democrats and 8 Republicans made a decision that was bad for our nation doesn't mean that I support a one world order.

I suspect the Democrats knew what they were doing as an election is coming up.
