Sorry to see Moore front & center, but not surprised. The SBC is sealing it’s fate, for me anyway. MLK didn’t espouse what they are using him for. Cheap trick.
King was a womanizing hypocrite with deep ties to Communists. Why do I care what he wanted?

When someone has a holiday named after them the glass house then deserves extreme scrutiny. It disgusts me that we have a national holiday named for that moral degenerate Communist. Wonder why the FBI files on him are still sealed?

The difference is that:
Trump has never claimed to be born again - and living a Christian life
King was ordained as a Baptist preacher.

King is not recognized for being Baptist, or being ordained. He is recognized for his work in the civil rights movement. His work has been twisted to suit the needs of activists. Apparently the SBC wishes to be viewed as activists, otherwise they would not continue to hang their hats with Moore. I don’t give a rip about mlk’s ‘ties’, obama had many communist ties, like his mother & grandparents & appointed the likes of Brennan. His list of ties to questionables while serving as commander in chief should trouble us a lot more, & they are not limited to communists. Perspective is needed. MLK is dead, he’s not saying or doing anything.

I suppose he did not wear the title of Baptist for his civil rights actions -
However, being a Baptist Pastor - he should have set the example for those who followed him.
Billy Graham - saw it necessary to fight racism, ect; especially when he had a crusade in the South.
You know how Billy would avoid even the hint of immorality.
1) never was alone with a woman that was not his wife
2) Two men would check out his hotel rooms to insure there were no females, who might have been a plant to embarrass or put a black mark on the good Reverend.

If Billy had been black, maybe he would have had his own federal holiday, maybe as he said, he would have done more for civil rights, but he wouldn’t have had the crowds & influence he had as a white. White privelege? You see how this works. Things can be manipulated to suit any argument. MLK was not Billy, he carried his title, like Dr Jill Biden carries hers, but don’t call her in a medical emergency. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt, that he had regrets about some of his choices. I have regrets about some of my choices.

Trump does not claim to be a reverend. Trump is a President, not self proclaimed moral leader.
Only God knows the heart of King. God tells us His assessment of the heart of David. David repented. We know that King's rampant sin was at its apex when he died. Judging fruit, I do not see the fruit of a saved man in King. Only God knows.
