No, Oneness don't have an argument.

And what in the world does "the word 'Trinitiy'" not being in the Bible have any weigh on *anything*?

My first time I ran into one of them was when I was in 10th grade and I was working at a grocery store. As was my custom, I'd always try to at least talk "a little" to people about Christ even if it was in passing--just something at least.

So one guy comes through and starts to leave, I see some alcohol (shudder) on the counter that I thought he had left. I asked him and he said, "Yo no bebe" (sp?) which is Spanish for "I don't drink [alcohol]". So I said are you Baptist or what? He then went on this long diatribe about how we must "be baptised IN THE NAME of JESUS," etc. I feel sorry for the guy, he was very zealous in what he was saying, but zeal without knowledge. . .well, you know (Rom. 10:2).

It's rather sad. First the heretic Sabellius taught modalism in that, it was just the Father *acting* like "the Son" and "the Spirit," now the heresy has changed (as do all false doctrines) teaching that it's actulaly just *the Son* who acts like "a Father" and like "the Spirit" etc.

However, the church squished this false teaching back then, and by God's grace we'll do it again!

Romans 10:2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

Does that mean that Peter, Paul, The Church at Ephesus, the 120 on the day of Pentecost, and the Church in Corinth were cultic?
    AE Shucks!!! I forgot!!!
AT 3:03 pm on March 3 AD 59 Pacific Standard Time tongues ceased. A man Was Praying in tongues and God Shut his mouth like he shut the lions that were looking at Daniel.
Thank God for the book of Hezekiah that tell us this!!!
</font>[/QUOTE]The tongues as they are practiced today, are a perversion of the Bible's teaching on tongues and are cultic. For more information about this phenomenon, see this link here!

This says absolutely nothing about what Peter and the Apostles engaged in.

I think that we must look at the scripture as a whole and use a little common sense here.......
The concept of the "Trinity" is first established in the the book of Genesis. In fact it is found in the very first sentence of the Word of God, in that the word used ("In the beginning, God..) is the Hebrew word Elohim (Lit. "Gods" plural) and is carried all the way through the scripture to the book of Revelation: "I, Jesus, have sent My angel.....I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star" (Rev. 22:16).

I think then that we can agree that the concept of the Trinity starts just after the page that says "genuine leather" and goes to the page that says "maps".

We see the "Trinity" clearly revealed in Matthew's account of the baptism of Jesus. The Holy Spirit descends, The Father speaks from Heaven, The Son declared by God.

Therefore, for one to deny the Trinity based on the lack of the English word "Trinity" in the bible is ludicrous, and expresses IMHO either a lack of understanding of the Word, or a flat rejection of something that we as limited human beings can not fully grasp...

The English word "rapture" in not found either, but yet all Christians through out the centuries have looked forward to the rapture. In fact Pauls writing to the Thessalonians is a reassurance that the the rapture had not yet occured (the church there thought that they somehow had missed the rapture).

As far as having fellowship with those who hold (for lack of a better term) a non-scriptural view (whether it be of the trinity, deity of Christ, or whatever); we are not to have fellowship with them, but rather are to try to bring them to the truth of the precepts found in God's Word. Once again I would refer to Paul's writings which are full of refutation as to the various heresies that were attempting to infiltrate the early church.
