This is a N0-BRAINER, ...not to suggest anti-maskers are using their brains! The eyes, nose and mouth are how the virus inter the body, anyone that doesn't understand that is an idiot. At least the eyes don't operate like a vacuum cleaner sucking in everything within range. Duh! If people are wearing masks its unlikely that they are spraying the virus in a manner that it would get in someone's eyes, but I would agree that wearing eye protection might have its advantages being the careless COVIDIOTS out there.

Here in Arizona about everyone is now wearing masks in public. I've had 3 people I knew die in the last 2 weeks. I HAVE NEVER known someone that has died from the flu! I don't wear eye protection and don't plan to but if some COVID denying mask-less idiot ran up on to me blowing air in my direction he'd likely to be social distanced with a brow-buster!

The only way to know would be to have a controlled study - one group wears a mask anytime around people for a month and one group doesn’t wear a mask for a month, and then compare the infection rates of the two groups.

My doctor said something similar. But he also said he has been threatened with loss of license by the AMA if he doesn’t toe the line on hydroxychloroquine and other politicized medicine, so he’s afraid to speak out.

Later the doctor and me were laughing about the coming vaccine, after I suggested they will release one which may or may not work, as a confidence builder for people to go out and get on with life again, but they will release one anyway.

And another nurse and I, in the exam room, talked about the democrats who want to get Trump even if it means destroying the country, she was the one who broached the subject , and I agreed with her.

Did you see the “White Coat Summit”? One of the organizers, Simone Gold, was fired by the hospital where she worked because of her part in that summit, because she claimed hydroxychloroquine is effective against covid.

A single virus will easily pass through a cloth mask.
It will pass through a medical mask too.
Even an N95 mask is not 100% effective.

But something is better than nothing.

Cloth masks are effective in containing the larger virus-laden droplets that spray out when an infected individual coughs or sneezes.
