Dr. Fauci Slams the Media for Continually Trying to 'Divide' Him and Trump

That is what we say about you. You clearly hate Trump but you are riding to the rescue of this doctor because he is a red tape bureaucrat who loves Hillary as he said in his tweets. If the doc were a conservative you would be calling for his head. Actually, the whole thing is just about red tape vs practicality but the doctor blinked when the press asked him about it. What he should have said was that he would doublecheck the red tape.

Lol. What in the world? How did you get all that from this thread?

I happened to watch the press conference.

The Doc backpedalled but all he did was rattle on like a boring professor with the limelight. When questioned by the press, he complained but it is unclear what he will do but I think that he will cooperate. I myself found out in the 1980s that the FDA was slow and arrogant. The intellectuals are mostly liberals.

If Trump does not allow people to go back to work and thus touches off a depression, it will be worse than the last depression because of the unavoidable default on the debt.

The FDA has been reviewing hand sanitizers since the mid 1990s. The Feds just don't know about them yet.

I have been washing my hands more than Pontius Pilate at a string of sham Roman trials.

Okay, but what did you mean by, "Trump must be doing something wrong if you support him."

As to your concerns, Trump has already said he's going to open back up the economy. So, it seems you're just agreeing with him.

Trump says a lot of things. On Sunday Ohio had had three deaths, the youngest guy being 78. Yet the entire state is closed down. Dem governors are closing gun shops and all of them are closing churches. Congress is going to print some more money but very little of it will go to the common people who lost their jobs. Prosperity is not just around the corner.

What mistake has Trump made in your opinion? Seems his instincts have been right on the money so far.
Look, we obviously will disagree on a lot of this so it is pretty pointless to argue about it.

I give credit to Trump for recognizing that his task force was not working and getting Fauci and Birx to take over. The actions taken since then on the domestic front have been solid from a public health perspective. It is a good plan that needs to be reinforced to the American people to buy time for treatment options like hydroxychloroquine to be tested and then delivered if found to be effective. Without good treatment options, social distancing and population shut downs are our only effective weapons to keep this virus from overwhelming the health system.

That's not what happened at all.

He has access to the same information you do. Except he reads better sources. The only people peddling hate are you two.

So, I'll ask again, What mistake has Trump made in your opinion? You made the claim. Now you're not willing to be specific? Surely, being a man of science, you're not going to shy away from specifics.

There were 2 big ones in my response already. His early domestic response to covid19 and his initial coronavirus task force selection. They put the US way behind other countries in its response. Since the change in the makeup and leadership of the task force (yes pence still holds the title but is merely a figurehead now), things have improved but it could be too little too late. Hopefully treatment options like hydroxychloroquine will give us something more to fight back with than hand hygiene, social distancing and population lockdowns.

Meh. You're just like the rest. His response in cutting off China flights was a game changer and life saver. Pence has been fantastic. Your petty criticisms are merely revealing your bias. Looks like you're going to be forced to commend his instincts on Hydroxychloroquine also.

I just thank God "experts" like you are not in charge.

Yes the China travel ban was a good move. But the domestic response had a lot of problems, largely stemming from the task force.

just an FYI, that I was excited about the French study on hydroxychloroquine and posted about it here before trump mentioned it.

...says the biased Trump hater. At least you guys are good for a therapeutic laugh.

So unless I think Trump can do no wrong, I am a Trump hater. Got it.

Call me a Trump hater if you want I really don’t care. But please follow Trump’s 15 day plan. It is based on good public health principles and will save lives and buy time for treatments to be researched and delivered.

Don’t listen to me, listen to Trump.
