What are ye blokes opinion(s) about the dialogue these two Drs. had in Memphis a few months back.

For those who don't know about this, several months ago, the Christians and Muslims gathered, first at Grace Bible Church and allowed Dr. Qadhi to explain Muslim beliefs and the next night they met at a fellowship hall(I think that's what they called it) and this was where the Muslims meet to worship; and they allowed Dr. White to explain the Christians' beliefs. Dr. Qadhi actually asked Dr. White to explain the Trinity to them.

Afterwards, each night they had fellowship afterwards, and some Muslims even asked Dr. White to explain things to them. He then asked three Muslims did they feel welcomed and one elderly Muslim, with tears in his eyes, said he never thought this was possible. And each night, they sat together as the two Drs. spoke, not apart from each other like they do in debates.

I see nothing but good coming from this. They are humans, too, and they need to hear the gospel as much as the unconverted American does.

Brannon Howse and his cronies have blasted Dr. White for what he did. Sadly, some Reformed folk did as well. I am at a loss here. Why do they feel he did anything wrong?

Instead of hearing "go back where you came from", or "leave our town", they need to hear the gospel of the Christ.

Some know they cannot debate Dr.White on the scriptural issues so they try and bring him down with subjective or philosophical thought.
Some of the critics were helped by Dr.White as they began their own ministries. Maybe some have grown envious and want to bring him down.
Leighton Flowers since his failed debate attempt speaks anti cal 24/7 trying to "gain the whole world" and become a big man in the so called traditionalist circles:Cautious
If people disagree with a point of view, or have questions that is fine.
What happened here is that some of these so called ministries are trying to use Dr. White to call attention to their failing ministries.....so they attack him personally with lame accusations.
The clown Simpson said he was making money with the muslim...

No money was charged to attend

We have Muslim friends. We have explained some of each others differences without any animosity.

We don't expect them to come to church.
They don't expect us to go to the mosque.

We get together at each others homes.
We eat (no pork, lots of lamb, chicken) talk, kids play, etc.

We have known them for 15 years, they are African from the Gambia.
My wife met the wife at a nursing home where they both worked.

Hank, I know you do this because:

(1) You are a decent man.
(2) You are demonstrating the love in Christ in action and word.
(3) You can be perfectly content being with others, even if you have fundamental disagreements about a number of things.

When you dine and spend time with this family, the living Lord Jesus is dining and spending time with them while Muhammad's body lies in the dust. There is no comparison!

I thank God that you (and others Christians like you) are being salt and light to those caught in the deception of Islam!

As long as we do not teach that bothMuslims and Christian worship same God, as long as Jesus is not accepted as less than God, and as long as we must still believe in Him to be saved, its ok! Too many though, those differences tend to get glossed over...

We have never said to our Muslim friends that we worship the same God.
That subject is left unspoken.
To be sure they believe our God is but a god to them.

We socialize on a human friendship level.
Actually, These folks wanted to assimilate yet retain their religion. Fran and I are happy just to be social friends with them and witnesses on that level. We occasionally talk about our religious holidays, how we each pray. customs, etc...

We went to a couple of their baby naming get togethers. This is a big deal with Muslims (at least with n. African Muslims). Lots of friends and family. There is no worship just lots or party time (No booze, they don't drink) lots of food (Great food! for the most part). There is one dedication Muslim thing for which we excuse ourselves - no problem for them.

They actually came to our Christmas day dinner one year. It went very well. No pork - turkey.
