John 3:16 CSB
“For God loved the world in this way:[ He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Not only does the CSB render hoytos correctly, ditto for monogenes and apollymi.
As far as liking a rendering, how about God loved mankind in this way: He gave His one of a kind Son, so that everyone believing into Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

On and on Y1 posts falsehoods, as the use of begotten denies Logos is eternal. Next, Y1 will claim begotten means not begotten. On and on folks, on and on.

False teachers redefine words to alter the text, thus begotten (meaning to cause to exist) now is said to mean "not to cause to exist." Hogwash

So Isaac also an eternal one since he is also called μονογενής (monogenes)? - Hebrews 11:17
He isn't even Abraham's "only" son.
Or is Issac just "unique" / "one of a kind"?

BDAG s.v. μονογενης (2): "an only-begotten one, God (acc. to his real being; I.e. uniquely divine as God's son.... a uniquely begotten deity.... Some... prefer to regard μ. as somewhat heightened in mng. in J and 1J to only-begotten or begotten of the Only One, in view of the emphasis on γεννασθσι εκ Θεού (J 1:13 al.); in this case it would be analogous to πρωτοτοκος"
