Who, here on the forum, considers it acceptable to drink wine or ingest some other intoxicant that is not prescribed by a doctor?
Drinking alcohol is not prohibited in the Scriptures. Getting drunk is. I don't drink because of my calling, but will not condemn a believer who enjoys libations from time to time.
This topic has driven over again, and again, and again here.......

I think that the question isn't if God served or is going to serve intoxicants.
It is a question of those who have no hope.
Am I to assume those of you who posted that you take an non-doctor prescribed intoxicant are without hope?

Drinking imo can be dangerous for those who seem to be addicted from the first drink. It makes people let their defences down when they drink to much. Which isn't a good thing.Who, here on the forum, considers it acceptable to drink wine or ingest some other intoxicant that is not prescribed by a doctor?
A good reason to stay away from it. Craving is the first sign of addiction. This thread makes me want to drink.

I will abstain from serving, from using, and from advocating the use of alcoholic beverages in public
I have read and agree with the Personal Lifestyle Statement and will adhere to it in its entirety while employed at Shorter University. I understand that failure to adhere to this statement may result in disciplinary action against me, up to and including immediate termination.
The Georgia Baptist Convention's Shorter College has been in the news recently for its imposition of a "morals clause" on professors.
To avoid being fired, professors must now pledge:
I will not use alcoholic beverages in the presence of students, and I will abstain from serving, from using, and from advocating the use of alcoholic beverages in public (e.g. in locations that are open to use by the general public, including as some examples restaurants, concert venues,
stadiums, and sports facilities) and in settings in which students are
present or are likely to be present. I will not attend any University
sponsored event in which I have consumed alcohol within the last six
hours. Neither will I promote or encourage the use of alcohol.
