The government shouldn't support evangelists and missions. That's the job of the church. I think that there is a problem with the war on drugs. Why not use fines at the local level instead? Where in the Constitution does it say that the federal government is to enforce drug laws?

Absolutely not! We don't need a theocracy in this country. And the U.S. constitution doesn't allow a theocracy as everyone has freedom of worship and freedom not to worship.

OK, so it is a double standard. Plus the government supposidely brought drugs into CA to wipe out the Panther party (they claim to be creeping back this October). So with those stains, I don't think the government is going to get serious with such a program. That dosen't take the war on drigs away from Christians or any other party though.

Private organizations helping drug addicts to overcome their addiction - including those addicted to alcohol and nicotine - is the path to take in this effort, not the heavy hand of government force.

Using government force certainly won't get them to listen to the message of salvation in Christ Jesus.

Wait...is the government really forcing people to stop using drugs, or just punishing them for it? I guess you could complan then about the gov't doing God's work for Him...

It is not the government's business to punish people for their actions as consenting adults. As long as force is not introduced the government should keep its nose out.

You probably don't agree, but that's okay. [IMG]
