why the generate a lot of heat is that they are Church of Christ, and many here assume that they hold to their church teaching that one MUST be water baptized in order to be really saved... Don't know if they hold to thatexactly though!

I've never heard a baptist say his church was the only true church and everyone else is going to hell. Key word here is " I " .

It's a little further than lost.....they think if you aren't a CoC member then you cannot possibly be saved because your not a member of the body of Christ. A little more extreme than lost. Perhaps I should have been more clear.
