"Dunkirk": a Review

I haven't seen the film myself. But, I think much of the negative criticism of it stems from critics comparing it to movies like The Longest Day and A Bridge Too Far. Those films took a more end to end and all points presentation of the battles involved. The Dunkirk production "cherry picked" what they wanted to present.

"Dunkirk"

So the captain of the Enterprise is no longer zooming around the galaxy?

I'm really hoping this was said tongue in cheek! :)
Explain.

Obviously, I don't know what war looks like. I do know that many veterans have said these productions are an accurate portrayal of battle. Therefore, my use of the word "purport".

The soundtrack seemed to be way overdriven and there was always some loud, tense background pulsing amping up the tension that was relentless.

I enjoy some musical soundtracks like "Two Steps from Hell" music. It isn't classified as "classical" but it has elements of such. When I heard Zim was doing this and people talking about how great the soundtrack was I went and gave it an ear.

I wasn't impressed. Redundant and uninspiring is probable the best I could describe it. Was highly disappointed.
