"Dutch Creationist Builds Noah's Ark Replica to Scale "

THis is pretty cool.
Dutch creationist Johan Huibers has devoted years to build a working replica of Noah’s Ark to scale in Schagen, Netherlands. The massive central door in the side of Noah’s Ark was opened to the first crowd of curious townsfolk to behold the wonder. The ark is 150 cubits long, 30 cubits high and 20 cubits wide. That’s two-thirds the length of a football field and as high as a three-story house. Life-size models of giraffes, elep hants, lions, crocodiles, zebras, bison and other animals greet visitors as they arrive in the main hold. A contractor by trade, Huibers built the ark of cedar and pine. Biblical Scholars debate exactly what the wood used by Noah would have been. Huibers did the work mostly with his own hands, using modern tools and with occasional help from his son, Roy.

I can't view the pics. There's just an X in the corner of the pic box.

Nevermind, I was able to get them.

I'm not sure what happened to the pictures, they were there when I first posted them. Too bad because some of those pictures are impressive. The link still works though.

I think it is incredible that this guy built this by hand! I would love to be able to bring my kids to see that to bad it is so far away.

Is he now gonna try and prove he can put 2 of every species of animal in that thing (and it will not bust or sink)?
