How about reading Charles Spurgeon? He is not boring.

And yes Dave Hunt is very dishonest in "What Love is this?"

Here are just a few instances:

1. He claims John Calvin did not once speak of the love of God in his Institutes when he actually does.

2. He quotes secondary sources as if they were authoritative. This is not acceptable in writting any book. No true author who desires to honestly potray fact quotes secondary sources.

3. Mr. Hunt claimed that C.H. Spurgeon denied particular redemption when nothing could be further from the truth.

This is just a few cases of Dave Hunt's dishonesty, and I am not just saying this because I am calvinistic. Its one thing to write a book that I would disagree with, its entirely another to be dishonest in writting that book.
