Our church offers ESL classes to the community and many of our retired schoolteachers teach in the program each week. My mother-in-law is participating and really enjoys working with her students.

 

Gago ka pala, e. It's like me saying you can't even speak your own language properly because the translation sites do not recognize conjugated English. :laugh:

What's the matter, if you can't find a translator, you resort to personal attacks ?

Just thought it was infantile and arrogant on your part as if was some big joke a respectful person would have honored their language with a translation...you did not . Have more respect for your language imho.

And in America we speak english. No rights being violated there. We can hold all the english classes we want but the larger portion of them do not want to speak english.

I must say that that is a very broad generalization. "The larger portion ..." Do we know? Are there surveys?

But even if it is true, there are those who will respond. It's rather like the proclamation of the Gospel; there are many who do not want it, but we continue to offer to "those who are being saved, the power of God and the wisdom of God." We don't give up offering something good and useful just because many reject it.

Wow, I am thinking of my campus ministry days, when we offered the good news to a university campus of more than 20,000 ... and only a relative few received it. But we kept on.

This seems to imply that you are against learning other languages. I find this odd, and have probably misunderstood your intention. What is your point?
