Hadn't heart that one in a long, long time! That one and, "How does the military tell time?" Answer: (From Adrian Cronhauer) "For the Army, 'It's oh eight hundred.' For the Navy, 'It's four bells.' For the Marines, 'The big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 8.' " With apologies to my Marine friends on the board. and "Oohah!" (To which you now respond, "What?") :laugh:Do you know how to distinguish an Army aviator from a Marine aviator - aside from the uniform?
The Marine aviator has one less connector making full contact.
The son of my oldest and most honored friend is an Apache pilot. Currently a Captain. Good visibility, functioning gunsights and clean LZs to you all.
Hey, Coastie, ever been to Sault Ste. Marie, MI. This whole town is full of you guys. God bless ya.

You forgot the Air Force: "Oh-eight-hundred? Is that actually a real time?"

Sorry, Salt, spelled it phonetically.NO!!!
"O" is a letter NOT a number
It would be Zero Eight Hundred
(of course for the Army it would be Zero Dark thirty)
We do more before Zero nine hundred than most people do all day long.
I must correct a grievous error.
The son of my oldest friend - the Captain - is a Blackhawk pilot, not Apache as I erroneously reported.
I can only plead it has been a very long time since I rode a helicopter and I was but cargo to be delivered.
Sorry, Salt, spelled it phonetically.
My bad.
Your Article 15's are waiting to be signed -
The correct term is Captains Mast. If you want to avoid this on your record, you can volunteer for extra duty.
I'm afraid I spent all of my 5 years in that foreign country of New Jersey.:tonofbricks:
Marine: Oo-rah
Navy: Hoo-rah
Army: Hoo-ah
Air Force: Who? Wha?
I make formal request for a judiciary hearing. Phonetic spelling of military terms is not covered under the UCMJ.Your Article 15's are waiting to be signed -
