We think our knowledge of Christ's gospel provides us with "special enlightenment" such that those holding differing view are "unenlightened."

We treat those presenting a somewhat different take on the gospel as corrupters of the faith. Some of us even go so far as to suggest their views are akin to heresy.

The Evangelical crusader can become pugilistic, treating other witnesses as impediments to Christ's ministry.

Some seem to love their brand of theology more than they love others.

Van, I have asked you in private to stop baiting those who are reformed. I have told you expressly that I am on YOUR side. I am also not reformed. However, I avoid the topic as best I can as it always leads to rude and unChrist-like fighting.

Your assertion that it's the Calvinists who are mean is "baiting".

Yes, I DID read the whole article and know it is written by a reformed person.

THIS....THIS.... is why they attack you, bully you, mock you, and gang up on you.

This is why you tattle on them incessantly and they tattle on YOU incessantly.

You say you only want to present the gospel.

You are NOT presenting the gospel when you bait people.

I have officially had enough.
