The entire article can be summed-up here.San Francisco, California –
Listened to the whole interview, not just the "juicy" parts. Bell has some interesting critiques of the church that we should hear.
As to the homosexual marriage issue, he said he supports marriage. Sounded like to me he was in favor of supporting monogamous, loving relationships between consenting adults. At least that's my reading between the lines of he what he said. It will be interesting to see how he expands and develops these thoughts moving forward. Need to read his new book as well, perhaps he touches on these sensitive issues and explains them a bit more. Though he is known for asking a lot of questions but not necessarily giving what he thinks are the answers.
I don't just read things from people with which I agree. I'm not giving in on any issue just because culture is moving that direction. I am curious about his journey to this line of thinking however.
The San Francisco comment demeans faithful believers living there. "What good can come from Nazareth?"

It's a joke....you don't have to prove to us that you are more open-minded than the rest of us....We'll go ahead and concede that to you ok
This post is nothing but you handing us your personal "I'm open-minded and enlightened" resume' and we all get it ok

If we move away from God enough, and convince ourselves other standards are better long enough, we can come to accept anything. You know, up is down, black is white, the sun is so hot I froze to death, etc.
I think one of the surest signs of the end times (another thread how it happens) is the legalization, state by state, as we march towards a national standard of marrying the same sex. I think once this is passed, I want to start a movement to be allowed to marry my parakeets. (Not really sure how that will work out)
But homosexual marriage is without a doubt one of the clearest sins (and in my opinion disguisting sins, it ought to make a lost person throw up) that can be committed.
