Maybe 5 years ago.Well, that would mean the Spirit is wrong. It was He who said, "Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth He yet find fault."
I have no doubt that were we to boil it down, that would be your objection.

Because only Calvinists actually believe that this passage is about what they think it's about....Why hasn't anyone from the opposing view addressed this?
The "point" is...Because I've never asked myself that question.
Read it in here a few times, and I'm still not sure exactly what the point of it is.
One more chunk of wood for the fireplace. Sad I used to look up to you, only to now realize the enormous jerk you really are.Because only Calvinists actually believe that this passage is about what they think it's about....
It isn't even particularly relevant to the debate.
It has actually nothing to do with it.
You guys just don't know that.
That's why we don't tend to respond to that one....
To do so, would be to accept that individual election to salvation were in view, but, as it isn't...
We can't accept that Gnostic interpretation of the text so, it simply means nothing to us.
That answers your question..
You won't like that, but, that's why they don't tend to engage you on it.
I am trying to find a friendly way to say it, and fearful that I'll fail, but...One more chunk of wood for the fireplace. Sad I used to look up to you, only to now realize the enormous jerk you really are.

God is almighty: and He can do this thing any way He wants. So He says: "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy" by which He is just telling us, "I do this because I want to, not because I have to. Now..........who is it He "WILLS TO HAVE MERCY" on?
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Furthermore, as to speaking of Pharaoh, the Bible says that Pharaoh "hardened HIS heart" several times BEFORE God did. And as to "Esau" the "hating Esau" scripture has to do with NATIONS. If you don't believe that, show me one place where the MAN Esau, ever was a "servant" to the MAN Jacob. It's not in there bro. God loved Esau the man just like everybody else.
