Yes, but I do not accept the connotation that a KJOnly person attaches to it. They believe I am correcting the revelation of God. The truth is that I am correcting a mistranslation or misidentification of a translation of the word of God. Their failure to make this distinction renders "bible corrector" an inappropriate name.

The issue here is that Steve is upset that I pointed out a couple of clear fallacies and said that people who propogate them were either willfully lying (knowing the truth and saying something else anyway) or deceived (having been taught error and not knowing the difference). If you read the post, I placed most KJOnlies in the category of deceived rather than willful liars.

I cannot be convinced that Riplinger (who Steve brought into the conversation by citing her [unnamed] and conflating two of her "quotes") is merely deceived. It took a great amount of ingenuity to put those quotations together. She has clearly misrepresented the truth by misciting what other people have said. She has put it in print for all to see. When someone puts something in print, it is fair game to be examined very closely (which her book has) and if necessary to be discredited thoroughly (which her book has).

I don't agree at all. KJVOnlyite is a way to refer to what people believe. Ruckmanite identifies someone with a particular teaching on this subject. "Bible corrector" does neither.

No Larry once again you are spouting off without facts. I did not start the dicussion .I only entered it.I have made it plain to you in other threads we have nothing to discuss and I for one would appreciate you not entering into dicussions with me. If you continue you will be ignored.I sought opportunity to file a complaint on you with this board and was ignored by Jim one of the moderators. However if you continue I will find a moderator that will follow up on the matter. Once again let me make it plain for you. I will not enter into discussions with you. Not because you have a corner on truth but I believe that what you belive and teach is heresy. I will add that to say something about someone that you would not say to their face is cowardly. Now if you are interested in a face to face with these people and will actually go through with it I will check into arrangements to have your expenses paid for a public video taped debate with the people you name here and yourself.I for one would love to attend.

The way it was intended and I thought it was clear, is that if a particular group does not want to be called a name, do not use it. There are other ways of stating truth. For example, I use the NKJV 95% of the time. If someone uses the term "bible-corrector" on me, I will delete the post.

On the other hand, if KJVO do not want to be called a particular name, don't use it. Pastor Bob listed a few.

If you wish to dismiss a theological view or seek to prove truth, do so without calling a fellow member a name.

Frankly, I don't care about non-members such as Westcott, Riplinger, etc. If you want to say they are purposely deceptive or anything like that, have at it.

If you still need clarification, PM me.
