No, I do not believe that God "intentions" all that occurs to come to pass. I do believe however, that in his omniscience he knows all that has, does and will come to pass. I also believe it is because of his sovereignty that all that does come to pass will work to the final fruition that He has determined. I most certainly am convinced that He can and does alter atoms, molecules, thoughts, words and actions in order to move in ways according to His wisdom.

You must admit that it has been debated to ad nauseam. Shall I explain that to you in depth or do you comprehend it?:D

And yet...you continue posting in the same debates. Don't bother explaining it to me. I'm southern and too stupid to comprehend. Must be all that possum stew.

John 10:17-18 (KJV)
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Now, Brother Robert, you know it's not that simple. BTW, I agree with you....

I have heard that if you eat one that has been killed with a shotgun, it has a pretty good supply of iron.....and women need their iron you know, Sister Amy. :wavey:

Don't eat one that has been killed by a motor vehicle. My neighbors say that they taste is kinda flat......LOL :tongue3: :D :love2:

I would disagree with Luke that everything that happens God brings to pass.

Jer 19:5 They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:

Jer 7:31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.

Jer 32:35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

These three verses are speaking of sacrificing infants to idols. It seems abundantly clear that God did not command these events to happen. He knew of them, and he allowed them, but they were not his idea, they did not come into his mind or heart.

Agreed, God does not bring everything to pass in the sense He is directly involved in doing the deed.

If Edwards said that everything, every rape, every murder, every evil action is caused by God ... and I believe you have said thus, and Piper has said thus, then yes anyone who says this is making God a monster. If God is the cause of all then no one can be guilty of any sin. There was no need for Christ. The idea you have floated over and over makes God a monster.

I do agree with you that God is not involved in directly doing those deeds.
