Expert states Ramsey gives poor advice

The conspiracy theory angle sounds like this,

How much were the writers paid by lending institutions to write this piece?

The Bible says,

Proverbs 22:7
The rich ruleth over the poor,
and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Romans 13:8
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Not surprising that the world’s system is incompatible with biblical wisdom.

Does that mean you should pay electric bill in advance - so you dont owe them anything?
Does that mean, you should not buy a home with a mortgage?

This is a bit of a gotcha question. I don’t typically like to answer them based on the nature of their intent.
The last answer was my answer. You have taken this to a level of we can’t buy groceries unless they let go of the groceries and you let go of the exact change at the exact same moment. Since it isn’t reasonable to live like that, I don’t think it’s reasonable to think like that.
There are opportunities and times in Scripture where money is owed to people. It does happen. The wisdom of Scripture says avoid it.
It is not a difficult concept unless taken to a pharisaical level.
If I called Dave, I would have to tell him that I am at best, “Dave-ish” because I don’t follow everything he says. He won’t be bothered by that either. I’ve never heard him be upset when someone doesn’t follow his advice unless they say that they are but they are not. I think that is reasonable.

And the borrower is servant to the lender. If anyone wants to serve someone else, it’s no skin off my nose. Help yourselves.
But Dave gives good advice, unless you want to be bound to the world’s system. Personally, I don’t care for the world’s system.
So, advice like the article hating on financial independence from debt strikes me as foolishness.
Dave has helped more people than all the people who complain about him. I think he is doing a good thing. All the people who say there is a better way haven’t come close to Dave’s success rate yet. The results speak for themselves.
