Check Augustine, Calvin, Luther on 6:29, can you even find one big name "Calvinist" who reads into Scripture what you read into it? Your private interpretation is highly dubious.

No one is affirming that faith is not "of God," or that anyone can believe without God's working. Rather, we deny that this verse is teaching that.
