I am loving Facebook! I have reconnected with old classmates and friends from California, am keeping up with friends from our church we had to leave when we moved last year, am getting to know BB folks better, and it is a great way to keep connected on a daily to weekly basis with out of state family!!!

And donnA, if you are still reading this thread, I want to be your Facebook Friend!!! :-D

The thought came to me that maybe the friends at your former church were hurt

I wish, that I was a wonderful communicator even so my dh loves me.
I want to write honestly and be diplomatic about it too and it is really hard for me to do both. Some people have those special gifts.

I am on Facebook. There are both advantages and disadvantages. The main disadvantage being you may 'bump into' people you don't like or are trying to avoid. However, there is a blocking system. So far, I've only felt the need to block one person.

Not sure about joining a Baptist Board group because any of my FB friends could theoretically see it in my Groups list and then find my posts on here (including people from church).

 

...and what is wrong with that? You have something to hide?

 

Heck, I am always suggesting BB and Facebook to members at our church...

That's why I don't post anything I wouldn't want my brothers and sisters in Christ at my church to see.

I pretty much post the way I talk, so if any church members joined FB or BB, they wouldn't be surprised...

 

Half my facebook friends are members of my church (lots of youth and college age folk). I have relatives in 3 states (Alabama, Florida, North Texas). I have a couple of dozen BB friends/Facebook friends,
