ray: FAITH is one of the fruit of the spirit. You must be born again in order to have the saving faith of GOD. In the nt, it is mentioned, Give me more faith. So in conclusion to ask for more faith you must have a measure of faith with the new birth or if you ask for faith,then you must already have "Some" faith. You can't ask for something more if you don't already possess it.

1Co 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Faith in what one has personally confirmed is real (Christ in you), yet is unseen. The just shall live by faith. Blessed are they who have not seen, and yet have believed.

Personal Knowledge given by God and faith goes hand in hand with the Christian faith. No religion has this distinction.
